Are you tired of the 9 to 5 routine that drains your energy but rewards you a low payout check? To be honest, I was, too. And when I learned that I could make a living working online, from the comfort of my home, it didn’t take me more than 12 months to break even.

There’s nothing wrong with a 9 to 5 system. But if you want to become fully financially independent, be your own boss, and work in your own time, while having enough time to spend with friends and family, there’s no better way than working remotely.

You set your work hours. You draft your own rules. You become your own boss. And you work in the best of time.

If this sounds like something you’d like to get started with, then I’m glad to introduce you to the top 20 online jobs that pay weekly.

Let’s get to it.

1. Get Paid to Tutor Students

My first online job was to tutor students on Chegg, and it was such a wonderful experience helping students learn concepts while making money at the same time. The hourly pay is between $15 and $25, which isn’t that bad if you ask me, especially if you’re just getting started.

To succeed in this line of online business, you need to be really good at the subject that you’d like to teach. For what it’s worth, it makes a lot of sense to pick a topic you’re passionate about and fully confident and comfortable to teach.

2. Get Paid to Test and Review Apps and Websites

Can you test and give an honest feedback that will help developers improve their products? If so, you can make money testing and reviewing app and websites on User Testing platform.

Getting started with Use Testing is easy and straightforward, the test during registration is easy to complete, and the pay starts from $10 for a 20 minutes job.

What I love about testing and reviewing apps and website products is that the pay tends to be quite decent even for entry-level workers. The only issue I have with a platform like User Testing is that there isn’t always a lot of work to do.

3. Earn Money as a Transcriber

earn money transcribing

If you’re a good listener who can easily transform audio and video files into text, you should consider becoming a transcriber.

To be clear, transcription required attention to details and it can be quite challenging to get started at first. However, things get easier once you get the hang of the process, and you can make a lot of money every week.

Examples of transcription services that pay weekly include Transcribe Me, Allegis Groups, and Rev. These companies are free to join, and they provide handy guides that will help you get started to making money with transcription. Not to mention they pay weekly.

4. Get Paid to Write SEO Content

Online freelance writing is as old as the internet itself.

So if you have a way with words, even if you aren’t the most creative person in your household, you can make a lot of money creating content for direct clients, content mills like Text Brokers and Content Authority, and big SEO companies like The Hoth

How much you earn as a content writer will depend on the content mill you choose to work with.

For example, The Hoth pays $25 for a 1000-word article. It’s different if you choose to work with direct clients, in which case you can negotiate rates and get better pay for every piece of content you create.

5. Get Paid to Proofread Content

The demand for proofreaders will always be there for as long as writing exists.

So if you’re good with words, have eyes that easily spot errors in words, phrases, and sentences, you should consider taking up a proofreading job.

The good thing is that there’s no limit to whom you can do this kind of work for. In other words, you can work for content companies as well as individual clients who are interested in proofreading services.

Like content writing, you can set your rates per hour, starting from $ 10 or $20 going up. Because content production is an endless career, there will always be proofreading work to do.

6. Become a Freelance Writer

Freelance writers are in daily demand. Each day, individuals, small businesses, and big editorial companies seek for talented freelance writers to help with content creation. In other words, there’s always work to do.

Your role as a freelance writer will be to produce content on different topics. Some will be niche-based and other will be broad.

It means that if you want to be successful in freelance writing, then you should be as diverse in writing as possible.

7. Get Paid to Do Keyword Research

You can make a lot of money every week by providing SEO keyword research services to clients. To be clear, keyword research is a task that will always be there as long as the internet exists.

That’s because it’s the first step to creating content that can rank on search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo.

To be good in keyword research, you need to get the basics of SEO right. That means you can’t do this kind of job if you have no idea what SEO is.

Often, you’ll work with tools like Semrush, Ahrefs, and Google Keyword Planner to find keywords that your clients can use to create content for their website.

8. Make Money as a Virtual Assistant

I’ve been a virtual assistant myself and I can tell you from experience that it’s one of the most rewarding online jobs that pay weekly.

When it comes to this one, your earning opportunities are downright endless.

You can work as an independent contractor for big agencies like Virtual Office VA, promote your gigs on Fiverr or Upwork, or hunt for direct clients from platforms like Glassdoor or Craigslist.

Some virtual assistance contracts can put money in your bank account on a daily basis. Others can get you a paycheck twice a week.

Yet some deals can pay you handsomely once a month. The pay dates are highly likely to vary depending on the agreement you have with a client.

10. Make Money Online by Completing Surveys

Some people argue that completing surveys isn’t part of an online job. But that’s quite a misleading statement to say the least.

At its core, you’re investing a lot of time to provide honest feedback about a particular study, and you deserve to earn money from the time you invest.

With that said, you can make decent money if you take surveys seriously. That means joining only the best platforms that pays you handsomely for sharing your opinion.

Examples of survey sites that pay weekly include Survey Junkie, Pinecone Research, Life Points, and Vindale Research.

11. Get Paid to Do Graphic Design

14. Make Some Money on Slice the Pie

I actually saw this some time back and tried it myself. And guess what? It worked. Slice the Pie is a good platform for music lovers who don’t mind making a few bucks listening to and rating music.

The pay isn’t great, but it’s still a good opportunity that you can treat as a hobby. After all, it doesn’t hurt to make a couple of bucks in your free time, or does it?

What I love about Slice the Pie I that it’s very easy to use. All you have to do is to create a free account, activate your account, listen to a song for about 90 seconds, leave a review, and earn money.

There’s a lot of supply, so you don’t have to wait to start earning. Plus, don’t forget that listening to music is actually fun and therapeutic.

15. Get Paid to Complete Data Entry Jobs

I do data entry assignments on the weekends, and I can tell you from experience that it’s a good way to make some extra cash.

Payment per task often starts from $5, and the best thing is that the jobs are easy to complete within the shortest time possible.

What I love about data entry jobs is that you don’t require prior experience to make money. You just need to have the time and be disciplined enough to pay attention to details while keeping an eye on the deadline.

If you’re ready to take on some data entry jobs, Amazon M Turk is a good place to start.

16. Make Money Online Translating Languages

Translation services aren’t going anywhere any time soon. In fact, platforms like Language Line allow you to make money by translating text and audio files to different languages.

So if you’re bilingual, this can be a very great opportunity for you to start making money on the internet.

The payment isn’t that bad. You get a flat rate paid hourly, often starting from $12 up.

An advantage with this kind of online work is that it can be quite lucrative for you if you’re conversant with an in-demand language. Plus, you learn and gain experience as you work, easily opening up more earning opportunities.

17. Sell Gigs on Fiverr

Fiverr is a monstrous marketplace that allows you to sell any service on the planet.  Whether you’re a content creator, a voice over coach, an SEO specialist, or a jack-of-all-trades,

Fiverr gives you the platform to offer a service, build your profile over time, earn a top status, and earn weekly payments for your hard work.

I do wish there were a magic bullet to earn a top status on Fiverr overnight. Unfortunately, you have to put in all the hard work to scale up the rankings.

And as long as you remain consistent in providing high-quality services to your clients, Fiverr can help you break even in no time.
