Making money online with little effort was once a pipedream. But as internet technology improved and data became the big driver of the web, we’ve seen the introduction and growth of many easy ways to make money from the comfort of your home.

Completing surveys is, without a shadow of doubt, one of the simplest ways to earn some bucks, and with many survey sites already on the web, some with millions of users, and even different ways to make money, it’s highly unlikely that this approach to making money online will die out any time soon.

Knowing that you can make money by completing questions is one thing. Finding a legit site that pays you to answer survey questions is another thing altogether.

Survey Junkie falls right in the frontline of highly appraised sites, with many people praising it for being a reliable platform that actually pays you for your feedback.

But what exactly is Survey Junkie? Is it a legit business that you can use to make money by answering questions or is it a waste of time?

Let’s find out.

What is Survey Junkie?

I like to think of Survey Junkie as the intermediary that connects companies with consumers. Since 2013, this market research agency provides an avenue for businesses to collect feedback on their products and service, and in this way, these companies are able to understand their market better.

But they can’t get this data without the input from different users, which is why Survey Junkie allows individuals like you and myself to sign up and get a compensation for the feedback they provide.

Trust me when I say that companies that use Survey Junkie treat data as valuable, and they’re willing to pay you for it because they know precious information isn’t for free.

I’ve personally been a member of this platform for 3 years, long before I even discovered my passion for reviewing businesses and apps that can make you money. From my experience, and from what I read about the platform online, Survey Junkie deserves a good rating on many fronts, although it does fall short in a couple of ways, too.

Before we get into the details on how to make money with this platform, I want to make sure you first understand how it works.

How Does Survey Junkie Work?

Survey Junkie is a platform that connects two groups: you and companies interested in consumer feedback.

Here’s how that works.

Businesses of all kinds sign up on Survey Junkie and post survey questions for people like you and myself to complete.

These survey questions aren’t specific, as industries and niche business vary from one to another. The questions can be on anything, from cosmetic products and groceries to auto equipment and online services.

When you sign up for an account on the platform and complete a survey question, Survey Junkie pays you for it.

How Can You Make Money with Survey Junkie?

Let me put this way:

Survey Junkie is your go to platform if you want to earn some money for giving your feedback to companies that need your feedback to enhance the quality of their products and service as well reputation.

There’s money to make here, and you can do so in two ways.

1. Get Paid to Complete Surveys

Getting started with Survey Junkie is as simple as signing up for an account, activating your email address, completing your profile, and participating in surveys of your choice.

Each listing has a time limit within which you must complete the survey. Plus, you’ll see the number of points that particular survey is worth.

So what kind of survey questions does Survey Junkie allow you to answer in the first place?

The answer is it depends on what a company or startup wants a feedback on. As such, you never know exactly the kind of questions that will come your way.

That the survey questions vary depending on the business is a good thing if you ask. At the end of the day, there’s flexibility that you can use to your advantage, because at least you get the freedom you need to answer questions of your liking.

Plus, the surveys are easy to complete, taking only a few minutes of your time and then you can focus more of your time and energy on something else.

2. Get Paid for Your Feedback on Videos

It turns out that there’s more to Survey Junkie than just completing survey questions. You can even watch videos, give your suggestions on the visual content, and get a compensation for doing so.

I’d personally watch videos and give my thoughts if I were you. That’s because I think videos are more interactive and engaging, although that’s not to say that questions are boring to answer.

How Does Survey Junkie Calculate Payments?

Now that you know how you can make money with Survey Junkie, let’s look hat how they calculate their payments so you know what to expect from them before getting started.

To be clear, Survey Junkie doesn’t reward you money for your time.

Let me explain:

When you complete a survey question or give you feedback on a video, you’ll earn points, which automatically reflects on your account.

Every point you earn is worth a cent. So if you have 100 points in your account, it will be an equivalent of 100 cents.

Survey Junkie Payments

Let’s look at the numbers so you know how much money to expect after completing a survey on Survey Junkie.

Earnings RangeBonusMinimum to cash outPayment Method

Is Survey Junkie Legit or is it a Scam?

It’s hard to review a money related product without asking this question, and Survey Junkie isn’t an exception.

Take it from me when I tell you that Survey Junkie isn’t a fraud. I’m not saying so because it has more than 10 million member, it’s because they pay me real money to give my opinion on products and services.

But let me make one thing very clear:

While Survey Junkie is a legit platform, and one that I highly recommend for people that want to make money on the side, it isn’t going to earn you a lot of money every month. Survey Junkie won’t meet your dream of becoming wealthy fast or enable you to retire sooner.

Sure, I haven’t been able to break the $1,000 mark in survey income every month with Survey Junkie. But my experience with the platform hasn’t been that bad.

I’ve used the money  I’ve earned from them to clear loans that would be otherwise pending, to go for vacations and trips I never would have, and to buy myself some cool holiday  gifts that I wouldn’t have otherwise.

Whom is Survey Junkie Suitable For?

My take is this:

If you’re looking for a constant source of income, Survey Junkie is not for you.

I’ve seen some people criticize Survey Junkie for not meeting their financial expectations. Some of my friends have even gone as far as to dub it as a fraud business because it didn’t live up to their expectations.

But the moment you understand that surveys don’t generally earn you a lot of money, mostly because the input required isn’t labor intense, then you’ll understand why reliable survey sites don’t promise to earn you hundreds of dollar a day or make you rich in a month.

A good way to make some decent income online would be to take part in other businesses such as affiliate marketing, video blogging, and e-commerce.

That doesn’t mean you should remove surveys from your list of options to make money online. In fact, you should use Survey Junkie as much as you possibly can, only remember that you won’t earn a lot of money from the platform.

After all, it doesn’t hurt to spend a few minutes of your time answering questions here and there and getting paid for your honest feedback.

What are the Benefits of Survey Junkie?

You’ll Love Survey Junkie for its Simplicity

I’ll be honest with you:

I love moneymaking platforms that are easy to use. Maybe unlike you, I’m not so techie that I want to spend a lot of time figuring out how it all works.

Fortunately, Survey Junkie is as easy to use as logging into your account, picking a survey that piques your interest, going through the screening process, and answering the questions if you qualify.

And the points you earn all reflect on your account, so you can easily convert them to money and cash out when you have a minimum threshold of $5 in your account.

Survey Junkie Guarantees Your Payments

Seriously, who doesn’t want to get paid for their time and input? I do.

What I love about Survey Junkie is that it actually pays you what you deserve, and that’s a good thing because no one loves working for free.

With payments guaranteed to come your way, you can use Survey Junkie with confidence that you’ll never lose points and that you’ll always get some cash sent to your PayPal account, provided you have a minimum balance of $5 in your Survey Junkie account.

Survey Junkie Awards You Points Even for Trying

I wish it were possible to qualify for all the surveys on this platform. But that’s far from the reality of things.

Even then, I do love the fact that Survey Junkie is still willing and able to pay you for trying to qualify for a survey. So you actually aren’t losing a lot during the survey screening process.

In other words, you’ll earn some points even if you don’t qualify for a survey on the platform.

Survey Junkie is a Convenient Platform

There are no tight rules when it comes to using Survey Junkie. Since they allow for flexibility, you can login and complete survey questions at your free time.

As long as your account is in good standing, it won’t matter if you login to your account after a week, a month, or so. You’ll can still get survey questions to complete and earn something.

What are the Drawbacks to Using Survey Junkie?

Survey Questions Aren’t Always Available

One thing I’ve learned about Survey Junkie, and maybe that’s just me, is that survey questions aren’t always available. Sometimes there won’t be enough questions to complete, and sometimes there’ll be nothing at all.

Also, you won’t qualify for all the surveys on the site, which is another limiting factor that, in my opinion, makes Survey Junkie not so useful for some people.

The system will screen you by asking a few personal questions, such as your age, income level, and more details about the topic. From what I understand so far, the screening process is what determines if you’ll qualify for a particular survey, which also determines how much money you can make.

The Payouts from Survey Junkie are Low

As you can see, even if you spend 30 minutes of your time completing survey questions, the highest you can earn is $3 per survey. And with the platform full of people who want to complete the same survey you want to work on, there is a low chance you’ll make a lot of money from the program.

So if you’re getting into this because you want to become rich and financially independent, it’s about time to reconsider your goals.

Conclusion

Survey Junkie doesn’t have the best payout for every survey you complete, but it will always pay you for your input. Besides, it wouldn’t have such a massive audience if it weren’t legit.

I love the platform because it’s easy to use. I haven’t made a fortune out of it, but that’s okay because I only spend a few hours a month on it.

Maybe if you have a lot of time to spare every day, you can spend that on Survey Junkie and see how many points you can earn and how much money you can make. Then, don’t forget to share your experience with us at Dollar Berg.
