I’ve interacted with tons of moneymaking apps than I can even count. And I can tell you straight outright that some are more useful and promising than others.

Look:

Professional developers built these apps so you can make some quick bucks on the side. So if you’re in need of money right now, you’ll find the apps I’ve outlined and described in the list below quite handy.

And let me be clear on one thing:

These apps won’t make you rich, but they can add some cash in your pocket. In addition, they’re easy to get started with. Really, all you have to do is to download the app, set up an account, and get down to making money.

Below you will find 15 Money Making Apps for Your mobile phone that you can download today and start making money.

1. Rakuten

Perhaps one of the most popular cash back platforms on the web, Rakuten lets you earn by rewarding you with cash back from shopping. From what I know so far, you aren’t going to make a lot of money from cash back shopping.

But a check of $50 a month isn’t that bad after all. Or is it?

Rakuten stands out because of its partnership with over 3000 stores. Often, the stores pay Rakuten a commission for referrals from within its platform.

Rakuten shares the commission with its user base in the form of cash back. Of course, most sales won’t earn you a bigger cut, although some can earn you as high as 10%.

The Rakuten platform doesn’t have a strict payment policy. More often than not, they’ll pay you via a check. Also, you can use PayPal if you prefer to get an electronic payment to a check.

2. Google Opinion Rewards

Google believes that your opinion matters and they’re more than willing to pay you for it. The search engine giant builds and maintains the Google Opinion Rewards systems, a platform you can use to make money by completing survey questions that Google provides.

The concept in this case is quite simple. All you have to do at this point is to download the app, sign up for an account, complete surveys, and earn.

You’ll love Google Opinion Rewards because it’s easy to use. Not to mention you get a wide range of topics to answer survey questions on.

From my experience, the questions you have to answer aren’t complicated at all. The way I think of it is that your opinion will count, even if you think it isn’t the best.

Google will send you a payment in the Google Play, or you can get paid as PayPal credits.

3. Drop

Drop describes itself as the next level reward system that gives you a token for shopping. It’s a good platform where you can shop from popular brands and get rewards for doing just that.

The working concept of Drop is simple and straightforward. All you have to do is to download the app, use it for shopping, and you’ll earn points for doing so.

To be clear, Drop doesn’t actually pay you in the form of cash. However, the platform allows you to redeem your points in the form of gift cards, which you can use to do shopping on big platforms like Starbucks, Amazon, and Netflix.

4. Swagbucks

I’m a very big fun of Swagbucks, and for many reasons. After using it for close to 3 months, the only regret I have is not having tried it sooner. For that short time that I’ve been on the platform, and of course via their mobile app, I’ve found it to be easy to use – mostly because it’s quite interactive.

To be clear, I’ve completed survey questions on different platforms, including Pinecone Research and Inbox Dollars. But I haven’t seen a system so developed and professional like Swagbucks.

And do they pay cash?

Yes, they do.

When you sign up for a new account, you get a $5 bonus for registration, and this is real money that you can request Swagbucks to send to your PayPal account.

They don’t mention this on their landing page. But you can actually convert the points you earn to cash and get the payment sent to your PayPal account.

5. Postmates

Do you love moving items from place to place and wouldn’t mind doing it for some bucks? You should consider working with Postmates

Your work here is simple. Pick groceries, drinks, and restaurant foods, deliver them to the right location in your city, and earn cash.

One thing you’ll definitely love about this program is that you can create your own schedule. No fixed reporting hours, no pressure from Postmates, and no specific hours set for work. In other words, Postmates allow you to work when you want.

But what I find really interesting is that Postmates doesn’t get a share of the payments from the delivery. As a courier, you keep 100% of the money, and sometimes you can even get tips.

The best part is the payment is instant.

How cool is that?

Getting started with Postmates isn’t difficult at all. That’s because the brand provides you with all the information you need for each trip.

Not to mention you get a prepaid card and a delivery bag to make your delivery job easy.

6. Door Dash

Those who’ve used Door Dash to make money say it’s a great platform. And whether you live in a country where Postmates is available or not accessible, Door Dash makes a good alternative to consider if you’re interested in the delivery business.

Like Postmates, Door Dash pays you to deliver foods to customers. And its user base is quite big, which means there’s always a lot of work to do.

Talking of an audience, Door Dash now delivers food in more than 4,000 cities in Australia, Canada, and the United States.

You’re free to decide when you want to work. And you can make all your deliveries using a bike or a car.

7. Fiverr

Fiverr is one of the biggest marketplaces for freelance services on the internet. On Fiverr, anything goes.

In my eyes, this is a great platform for people who are interested in providing freelance services on anything under the sun. And it doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or a pro in your industry.

I’ve actually sold a couple of gigs on Fiverr on Internet Marketing and copywriting space, which did turn out quite well for me. Frankly, you don’t have to be a copywriter to win big on the platform; just find your niche, create a gig for it, and you’re good to go.

Like many services on this list, Fiverr also has an intuitive mobile app that you can use. And that’s a good thing, because you can work wherever and whenever.

To be honest, the mobile app developed by Fiverr is as good as the desktop application. In a way, this has made it easy for me to connect with potential clients with ease, particularly when I’m traveling to other errands.

Perhaps the best thing about Fiverr is that it allows you to market your profile on different platforms, which is a great way to find new clients, build your profile, and earn a reputation online. And as long as you provide high quality service, it will be easy for you to build and popularize your profile over time.

8. Rover

Back in the day, the concept of dog walking as a business was quite lame. No one thought it would rise from an infant stage and become something bigger like it is today.

Today, people that love dogs are on Rover, a marketplace app that connects dog owners with dog sitters and walkers.

And let me say this:

You need to be really good in dealing with dogs if you’re serious about winning gigs on this platform. It straight out means that if you don’t have a passion for dogs, then I don’t think this is an opportunity for you.

You can earn up to $50 an hour for dog walking. And while that isn’t anything to make you rich, it’s a good way to stack up some cash for future use.

9. Instacart

On the surface, Instacart looks like Door Dash or Postmates. While it’s more or less the same concept, Instacart operates differently.

With Instacart, customers first order groceries. Once they place the order, Instacart sends it to your account.

Your work is to buy the groceries and then deliver them to the customer that ordered.

My take on Instacart’s payment approach is that it’s quite reasonable. Often, how much you earn depends on the size of the order as well as how far you have to travel to make your delivery.

On average, though, you can earn as low as $15 per hour, which isn’t that bad per se.

10. Mistplay

I’m not a fan of mobile games. But if I were, I’d just right into Mistplay without a second thought.

After all, there’s money to make here. You download the app, play games, earn points, and the cash out.

11. Poshmark

Selling used or new clothes online seems like a silly thing, but it’s a good opportunity to make money if you have what it takes to fulfill an order. And what’s a better way to get started than with Poshmark

I’m certain this perfectly fits the budding fashion maniacs. However, you can still get involved even if you don’t know a lot about design.

You’ll love the app because it’s easy to use. Start by creating an account, upload your listing and you’ll get a prepaid shipping label to help you get the job done.

The money part isn’t as glossy, though.

Poshmark makes $2.95 for sales under $15. If you sell anything above $15, they make 20% of that amount, which may seem quite high to some sellers.

12. Uber

Would you rather drive cars more often than sit in an office? Then you should consider becoming an Uber driver.

If you’re really good at driving and relating with passengers, there’s no reason why you should me a good amount of money with Uber.

Simply get your car details in order, download and setup the Uber app, and you’re good to get started.

13. Honeygain

I used Honeygain once, and I earned $19 that month. That’s not a lot of money, but it’s not that bad for someone who’s just getting started with working online.

14. The iPoll App

One of the things I love about surveys is that they’re almost always easy to complete. You spend only a few minutes of your time to answer a set of questions and you get a compensation for it.

Being an easy way to make money online, answering survey questions can appeal to you if you need to make some quick cash.

Like Google Opinion Rewards, the iPoll App gives you the opportunity to make money by simply answering simple questions. The iPoll uses the opinion to improve products and services, and you get a monetary compensation for spending time to do the work.

It’s important to note that iPoll pays you in the form of gift cards. You’ll get gift card for Amazon shopping, PayPal, and Apple Store.

15. Foap

Do you love taking photos and wouldn’t mind making money out of it? Maybe you’re into videography and you’re looking for a way to earn some bucks online?

You can try Foap, a platform built for photographers and videographers who want to make money by selling their art.

The working principle of Foap is quite simple and straightforward. You create a profile and upload your content. When a personal or a business buys the content, you share the profit with Foap.

Many photos sell for $5, although you can price yours in the range of $60 to $100. Only make sure the quality of the content you produce is up to the standard, otherwise no one will bother to buy your creations.

At the time of this writing, Foap pays its user via PayPal. So you’ll need to create and activate an account with PayPal if you don’t have one yet.
